Kaenan Hankins

August 9, 2013 — February 17, 2016

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma. 918-786-2261. Kaenan Jon Hankins, 2-1/2, Wyandotte, died at approximately 4 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at The Children's Hospital at St. Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from complications from an infection related to liver failure and Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction. He was born on Aug. 9, 2013, at INTEGRIS Grove Hospital, Grove, to Mellisa Hankins. While he lived a short time, Kaenan was full of life. He didn't let his body being sick since birth stop him. He was truly #tinybutTOUGH. He lived a life full of attitude and happiness. A strong-willed child, he had everyone wrapped around his fingers. He loved Mickey Mouse, animal crackers, Toy Story characters, M&M's, "Diddy's" (his pacifiers), music, dancing, Play-Doh, coloring and not sharing his toys with anyone. He was loved by a multitude of people, including his family of doctors and nurses on the Level B Floor at The Children's Hospital at St. Francis. He was a true momma's boy. On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the family was notified he had been granted a Make A Wish trip to go to Disney World with his family. Survivors include his mother and three brothers, Quinten Murry, 9, Chastin Murry, 8, and Bryson Murry, 7, of Wyandotte; his maternal grandparents, Sam and Diana Hankins, of Grove; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Services will take place at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Crossroads Church (formerly Christ Church) near the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Oklahoma 125, rural Fairland, with Pastor Jerry Baser officiating. Burial will follow at the Wyandotte Nation Cemetery in Wyandotte.
