Karan Sue (Lewis) (Moore) Dean, current Verdigris resident, formerly of Bernice, died Tuesday April 23, 2013 In Tulsa at the age of 62 years. She was born in Galena, KS on April 14, 1951; Karan graduated from Riverton High School in Riverton, KS. Karan loved arts and crafts, growing flowers, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandkids. Karan worked for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for many years, she was planning her retirement for early this summer. Karan is preceded in death by her mother, Rayma Lewis, her grandparents (who raised her after her mother's death), Raymond and Jennie Strickland; and her first husband, William D. Moore. She leaves many loving memories with her family, husband John Dean; sons, Billy and wife Jodi, Tim and wife Trisha, Lynn and wife Karen; sister, Edith Riggs; grandchildren, Makayla, Madison, Cooper, Olivia, Peyton, and David; as well as many other loving relatives and numerous friends. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Sunday April 28, 2013 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stephen Decker officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM at Lowell Cemetery in Lowell, KS.
