Karen Sherk

November 14, 1932 — April 18, 2011

Karen, the third of four children born to Lonnie and Clarence Weaver, was born on November 14, 1932 in Lake Park, Iowa. She attended school in Lake Park. She married Fred Sherk in November, 1953 and they started out life in Pasadena Texas where Fred was employed as a Chemical Engineer with Phillips Petroleum Company. They were transferred with Phillips to Bartlesville until 1983 when they were transferred to Japan for three years. They returned to Bartlesville in 1986 and have resided in the Bartlesville area since. Karen was active in the Presbyterian Church and ran the tiny tots program at the First Presbyterian Church from 1972 to 1983. She was a member of the Tuxedo Lions Club and the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. Karen was preceded in death by her husband Fred T. Sherk who passed away in 1995. She is survived by one sister, Jan Saunders, of Spencer Iowa and one brother, Bobby Weaver of Washington. She is also survived by two daughters: Laura Brewer of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and her husband Scott and Marlee Campbell of Bartlesville and her husband Doug. Karen is also survived by eight grandchildren: Danielle Shioyama, Chris Shioyama, Charles Mitchell, Travis Mitchell, Erica Gray, Lauren Apple, Andrea Franklin, and Alexis Brewer. She has five great grandchildren.
