Kathaleen Beth "Linky" Kinder passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. She was born on April 20, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alma Daniel and Jeanne Anne (O'Brien) Kinder. She grew up in California and attended LaSierra High School in Riverside. She later, was a butcher in Glen Avon, CA. Kathy moved to Nowata in 2000 and worked at various places including the Bliss Restaurant, J&W Processing and Turner Brothers. Kathy was an avid pool player and won several tournaments. She climbed MT. Marathon in Seward, Alaska in 1975. The most important things in Kathaleen's life were spending time with her family and her grandkids. She was also an excellent cook and loved teaching her family to cook. Kathaleen is survived by five children, Cobey Taylor and girlfriend Kristin Robidoux of Lake City, Michigan, Shena Guthrie and husband Mike of Nowata, Cherrish Taylor of Tulsa, Trinten Strobel and Treann Strobel both of Nowata; two sisters, Joleen Kinder of Riverside, California, Patty Holmes and husband David of Corona, California; seven grandchildren, Lilly and Cadence Taylor, Haili and Cooper Guthrie, Jordan, Blakely, and Landry Slocum. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Jeanne Kinder, and a granddaughter, Bridget Guthrie. Memorial Services for Kathaleen Beth Kinder are 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Wayne Vineyard officiating. Memorials in Kathy's name can be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
