Kathy Shrum

Kathy Lynn Shrum, age 55, passed away December 2, 2012 after a 12 year battle with Scleroderma and a short battle with cancer. Kathy was born in Webb City, MO on June 16, 1957 to Luther (Bill) and Juliette Guinn. The Guinns moved to Nowata in 1971 where her father worked as a pastor for over four decades. On March 1, 1973 Kathy was united in marriage to Ron Shrum and together they raised 5 children. Kathy enjoyed collecting angels and dreamsicles. Most of all she was a loving mother towards everyone. Survivors include her husband Ron Shrum of Chelsea, three sons: Ronnie Shrum II of Big Cabin, Matt Shrum of Oklahoma City, David Shrum of Joplin, MO, two daughters: Rebecca Shrum of Chelsea and Kalynn Shrum of Chelsea, 12 grandchildren, a brother, Michael L. Guinn of Ponca City, and three sisters Pat Tatum of Chelsea, Billie Murray of Nowata, and Judy Fiddler of Bartlesville. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Shrum officiating. Interment will follow at the home place of Ron and Kathy Shrum. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
