Kay Arlene Clopton, 86, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away early Monday, December 2, 2024, at The Journey Home.
Kay was born October 20, 1938, at Emporia, Kansas to Lon R. Perry and Marjorie (Soule) Perry. She graduated from Madison, Kansas in May of 1956 and later that year, married William Howard Clopton on December 9, 1956, in Madison. The couple lived in several Kansas communities until 1960, when the Cloptons moved to Hilliard, Ohio. In 1966, Kay moved with her family to Bartlesville, where her husband continued his career with Phillips Petroleum Company.
Kay was an active member of Oak Park United Methodist Church, Oak Park Garden Club and past member of the Ohio Jaycettes. She loved working with stained glass was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to the casino.
Survivors include her daughters, Theresa L. Medina of Bartlesville and Michelle K. Foltz and her husband, Donald of Emporia, Kansas; one son, William R. Clopton of Highland Village, Texas; one grandson, Christopher T. Medina of Bartlesville; four granddaughters, Madison F. Clopton of Flower Mound, Texas, Ashton P. Clopton of Playa Del Rey, California, Stephanie K. Ventura and her husband, Francisco of Tonganoxie, Kansas and Whitney Foltz of Lawrence, Kansas; three great-grandsons, Kaiden Ventura and Cameron & Cohlin Foltz; three great-granddaughters, Kaylee & Kiana Ventura and Willow Foltz; as well as other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, William H. Clopton and by a half-brother.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Blakely Cemetery, Madison, Kansas. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 9am-6pm, with the family receiving guests from 4-6pm. Services have been entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Bartlesville.
