Interment will follow at Martin Cemetery in Childers. Family will be receiving friends Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Kay Frances Smalley passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home. She was born March 27, 1949 in Borger, Texas to Curtis Sloan and Evelyn Hicks. Kay was a 1967 graduate of Alluwe School System. On December 31, 1969 she married the love of her life Ronald Smalley in Nowata. She attended Church at the First Baptist Church as well as Living Word Family Church. Kay was a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed working in her yard, raising flowers, and bowling. Kay worked as a CNA, and CMA at the Nowata and Osage Nursing Homes. She later attended school and became a case manager working for Elder Care and Country Style Home Health. Kay loved to shop with her daughter Jerri and loved going to the Casino with Stacy. She loved decorating for Christmas and caring for others in their time of need. Kay enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband Ron. She was always active in her children's school functions and loved being home with Ron. Kay enjoyed watching her girls play ball as well as riding motorcycles with Ron. She especially loved caring for and raising her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. All of them had a special place in her heart and she will be missed by all who knew her. Kay is survived by her husband Ronald of the home; two children, Jerri Reed and husband Robert of Citronelle, Alabama, Stacy Lutteral; two siblings, Wayne Hughes and Carolyn White; a sister-in-law Kathy Hughes; five grandchildren, Matthew Lakey, Hayley Lakey, Max Lutteral, Samantha Reed, and Savannah Reed, and one great grandchild, Journey Malone. She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Sloan and Evelyn Hicks; and a brother, Sonny Hughes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service.
