Kaye Norine Crook, 76, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 26, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas to Orville Louis and Katherine Norine (Parker) Young. Kaye graduated from Wichita Schools and continued her education at Vo-Tech in Pryor, Oklahoma where she became an LPN. On September 17, 1983 she married Don Crook in Oologah. In 2002 they moved from Oologah to Lenapah. Kaye loved the outdoors and taking care of horses, dogs, and animals. When she was able she enjoyed singing karaoke with her husband and friends. When she was 55 years old she went back to school at Parsons community College to pursue her lifelong dream of being an RN. After completion of her RN training, Kaye worked caring for others until her health would not allow her to work. She loved caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Kay was a very hard worker and will be missed by all who knew her. Kaye is survived by her husband Don Crook of the home; four children, Sandra Kaye Berg of Wichita, Kansas, Michael Lane Maddox and wife Gina of Wichita, Kansas, Scott Jeffery Maddox of Marshall Islands, Karyn Norine and husband Michael Covey of Broken Arrow, OK; a brother, Richard Young of Wichita; eleven grandchildren, Phillip Bolin, Eric Berg, Brett Berg, Michael Maddox, Kyle Maddox, Rachel Maddox, LeAnn Nuneg Maddox, Mary Maddox, Roger Maddox, Phillip Britton, Caleb Britton; special friends Suzie Penner and Shirley Nagy. She was preceded in death by her parents.
