Kenneth Paul McDonald, 82 year old lifetime Vinita resident, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Heartsworth Senior Living Center in Vinita. He was born on August 3, 1932 to Paul I. and Nellie Marie (Hamilton) McDonald. After high school Kenneth served his country in the United States Navy. After his time in the Navy, Kenneth became a farmer-stockman and continued to do that until his health forced him to retire. He always enjoyed working on machinery, growing tomatoes and was an exceptional gardener, and he also enjoyed reading, watching documentaries and just working around the farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother James McDonald. The surviving family includes: the mother of his children, JoAnn McDonald, daughter Jan Ridenour of Missouri, son Tim Hall of Miami, daughter Ruby Townsend of Chouteau, daughter Sarah Oglesby of Galena; one brother, Marvin McDonald of Vinita; Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
