Kenneth Wagner, 78-year-old Talala resident, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008 in Broken Arrow. Kenneth Wagner was born October 10, 1929 in Dawson, Oklahoma to Arnold Wagner and Anna Glover-Wagner. He attended schools in Talala where he graduated and then went on to attend Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater. He graduated there with his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. On June 7, 1958, Mr. Wagner married Nancy Bearden in Unice, New Mexico. Mr. Wagner worked at Bartlesville Stationary for several years until 1968 when he turned his efforts solely toward cattle ranching. In 1983, Mr. and Mrs. Wagner were recognized as the Ranch Family of the Year. Mr. Wagner also served on the Talala Water Board and on the Rogers County Soil Conservation Board. He was a Mason and a devout member of the Talala First Baptist Church. Mr. Wagner loved traveling. He and his wife were members of the Family Motorcoach Association. Mr. Wagner served as the Vice President of the South Central Region for that group for several years. There travels took them on numerous excursions from coast to coast. Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; by a daughter Terry Wagner and her husband Bruce Greer of Talala; by one sister Elizabeth Patton of Plano, Texas; and by a host of other family and friends.
