July 11, 1973 — June 11, 2011

Mrs. Kim Lea (McClain) Harper, 37 year-old resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Kim was born on July 11, 1973 in Port Lavaca, Texas. She was the daughter of Barton and Chong McClain. She grew up in Bartlesville where she attended public school, graduating with the Bartlesville High School Sr. Class of 1992. Kim and Jack began their courtship September 23, 1988, at age 16. They were married on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1999, in Bartlesville. After they were married, Kim was employed as a Unit Secretary at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville. One week before the birth of their first son, she retired to dedicate her entire life to her children and family. She loved life and enjoyed long rides on the Harley with Jack. She always said it made her "feel free". Kim enjoyed music, especially "classical" music and the music of Josh Groban. Her love of music extended past just listening, as she was a skilled violinist. Her in-laws always said that she was like the daughter they never had. Kim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Jack Harper of the family home; children, Calvin Lee Harper, Chance Alex Harper and Jacquelyne Elaine Harper, all of the family home; parents, Barton and Chong McClain of Bartlesville; brother, Richard McClain and his wife, Liz, of Bartlesville; niece, Elora McClain of Bartlesville; nephew, Richard McClain of Bartlesville; mother-in-law, Rosetta Mae (Watkins) Cox of Bartlesville; and brothers-in-law, Terry Michael French, Jr., John Thomas Cox and Paul Nelson Cox all of Bartlesville.
