Kimsey C. Wade, long time Vinita resident, went to join friends and family in his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. He was born in Hominy, OK, October 7, 1952 to M. E. and Catherine Wade. He received his diploma from Hominy High School in 1970. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, with a BS in Political Science and graduated from Gonzaga University in 2008, receiving his Master in Arts degree in Organizational Leadership. He had been active in Boy Scouts of America, pursued a career in local government, taught Piano for the last seven years at NEO College, Miami, and was the Choir Director and Pianist at the First Christian Church, Langley, OK. The Kimsey Wade Piano Studio had been in his home for the last 27 years. He was a passionate School Board member of the Vinita Board of Education and had served in that capacity for the last six years. He felt privileged to hold his church membership not only in First Christian Church but also at First Baptist Church, Vinita, OK. He is survived by his wife, Anita, of the home, sons Micah, Vinita, and fiancée Alyssa Perry, Beaver, OK; Oren LeeRoy Crawford and wife Tia, Vinita, daughters, Charlotte and husband Michael Thulin, Brookshire, TX., Jessie and husband Jeremy of Fairfield, CA; brothers; Edward and wife Terri, McCloud, OK., Gerald and wife Donna, Tulsa, OK and sister Marcia and husband Paul Martin, also of Tulsa, Sister-in-law Geri Lambert, Vinita, and brother in law Russell Bennett and wife Lynette of Ogden, Utah, Granchildren Kimberly and Taryn Crawford, Vinita, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, daughter and grandparents. Services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. April 3, 2010 at the First Baptist Church Vinita, with Pastor Henry Haynes and Pastor Joel Rutherford officiating.
