Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Lawrence "Larry" Christian Kramer passed away on April 29, 2018. Larry was born on September 19, 1932 to Christian Felix Kramer and Hattie Lee (Taterra) Kramer in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated high school from Joliet Township High in June of 1951. Larry joined the U.S. Navy on January 3, 1952 and was honorably discharged on December 12, 1955. He served on the USS Prairie during the Korean Conflict. After separating from the Navy, he worked for the railroad in Chicago for approximately 20 years. He then started a maintenance position at St. Johns Sister of Mercy Hospital in Springfield Missouri. This is where he met his first wife, "Ginnie". They were married for over 30 years and took vacations 19 times to Hawaii, as he loved the islands and anywhere there was a beach and water. Lawrence had two hobbies that he was truly passionate about and they were N scale model trains and fishing. He loved church and reading his Bible daily. He was very intelligent on the Bible and trains. He also had a passion for food. Don't know of much he did not like! Larry was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Freeman Kramer "Ginnie" in 2001 and his second wife Irene Cress Kramer in 2012. Larry is survived by his sister Lorraine Quirke of Chicago, Illinois and his stepchildren; Rita Lenae Castle, Galen L. Cress, Sr., and William Cress all of Oklahoma. By marriage; he has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Foundation Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Smith officiating.
