On July 27, 2007 the spirit of Larry D. Pierce II age 41 departed this earth for a better place . He was born on November 3, 1965 in Bartlesville, Ok to his proud parents Larry and Phyllis Pierce. The family moved to Hulah Lake in 1971. His early education was at Bowring School where he was very active in 4-H. He graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1984. He started his career in the Geo Textile Industry in 1987 which took him all over the world, at the time of his death he was Project Manager and Inspector for Geo Testing in Massachusetts. On April 18, 2003 he was married to Trisha May Friar and they made their home at Hulah Lake, where Trisha maintained the home while Larry still traveled for his company, mainly working on the east coast. Larry was an avid outdoors man loving to hunt and fish for crappie off of Pond Creek Bridge. He had one more love which were his dogs, Red Boy and Rascal. Trisha May preceded him in death in July 2005, also preceding him were his infant son, paternal grandparents Roy and Octavia Pierce, maternal grandfather Lee Gardner. He is survived by his parents Larry and Phyllis Pierce of Cabool, Missouri, his sister Tisha Steele (Tony), four nephews Cody and Jakob Barber, Seth and Billy Jack Steele, one niece Hailee Steele all of Gillette, Wyoming, maternal grandmother Jessie (Lucille) Gardner of Ochelata, Oklahoma, step-daughter Tamara Speer ( Randy Mallinger ) grandsons Rusty Gardner and Trevor Cochran all of Hulah Lake, Oklahoma and many many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial service has been planned for August 1, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the New Hope Indian Methodist Church in Dewey, Oklahoma with Roger Scott officiating In lien of flowers, donations would be encouraged for the New Hope Indian Methodist Church.
