Laura Allen

Laura Loretta Allen 87 year old, lifetime Jay, Oklahoma area resident passed away Friday October 29, 2010 following an extended illness. Laura was born on March 21, 1923 in Eucha, Oklahoma to Albert and Cloey (Morrison) Heneger. She has several different occupations throughout her life; she worked for O'brien's Poultry in Jay, Oklahoma, Allen's Canning in Kansas, Oklahoma, and worked as a seamstress her whole life. Laura married Henry Allen on July 13, 1966, She was active reader who loved murder mysteries and westerns. She also quilted, crocheted, and sewed. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Cleo Davis of Tulsa and husband Henry Allen. Laura is survived by one son, Luther Allen of Jay, Oklahoma, one daughter, Loretta Sue and husband Charles Scudder of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Grandson John Scudder and wife Bethany of Chelsea, Oklahoma, granddaughter, Loretta Mae Scudder of Chelsea, Oklahoma, and two sisters, Annie Burcham of Jay, Oklahoma and Leona Wood of Skiatook, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at New Eucha Cemetery in Eucha, Oklahoma on Monday November 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. Pastor Richard Hubbard will officiate. A visitation will be held at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma, on Monday November 1, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
