Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita - 918-256-5555 Lawrence Dale Everette, "Buck" was born March 30th, 1948 to William Lawrence "Clayton" and Nina Ruth in Birmingham, Alabama. Let it be known on May 6th, the year of our Lord, 2015, Lawrence Dale Everette passed from this life of natural causes. He left this world to be with the Lord after a long, hard fight with numerous ailments brought about by exposure to agent-orange while valiantly serving with the United States Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Dale was first and foremost a loving father of five children, a wonderful and loving brother to three sisters, and a grandfather to a host of grandchildren, an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a friend to all who met him who will continue to remember and preserve his legacy. Dale was a proud Veteran who received the VSM, VCM, SS/M-14, and OSSM. While stationed in Vietnam, Dale, like many of our young servicemen at that time, was exposed to the exfoliant, "agent orange." According to the Veterans Administration, the exfoliant led to many premature ailments that overtime, simply wore his body down. Dale's passion for the military service was evident in the fact that he continued to serve as an army reservist until 1973. Dale had a passion for fishing. He loved his feline friend, "Baby." Dale was known to occasionally toss a coin or two in the casino slot machines. "It's been said that Dales passion for juicy fruit gum was so enormous that he was able to put the convenience store owners son through college. Ha! I guess we all have our vices." Dale will be loved and missed by all of his family and friends. A small private ceremony has been held. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to D.A.V. Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warriors. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita
