Lawrence Craig "Larry" Mullinax, 49 year old Cleora resident, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. He was born June 12, 1962 to Shirlee (Nole) and Reginald Arnum Mullinax at Ft. Eustis, Virginia, McDonald Army Hospital. Larry attended high school in Tulsa and lived there until he moved to the Grand Lake area 19 years ago. Larry married Kristi (Ellison) on October 8, 1992 in Tulsa. He managed the Cherokee Yacht Club on Duck Creek for 14 years and in 2006 He and Kristi purchased the Kahoots Convenience Store in Cleora. Larry enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, Dallas Cowboy and Oklahoma State Football, most of all he loved his family, friends and working in the Grand Lake area. The family includes: his wife Kristi of the home; three children, Jennifer Mullinax of Dallas, Nick Mullinax and wife Lacey of Cleora, Stephan Mullinax of Langley; his mother, Shirlee Nole of Tulsa; grandchild, Ryker Craig Mullinax; sisters Lisa Bradford of Salt Lake City, Utah, Theresa Mullinax of Tulsa, and Laurie Green of Tulsa; and two very special dogs, Moozer and Woozer. He was preceded in death by his father Reggie Mullinax. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday June 6, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Ketchum High School Gymnasium. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery near Cleora.
