Leatrice Holley was born on December 1, 1922 in Waverly, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Gail F. Holley and Mary May (Bohmont) Holley. She attended the Waverly community schools, graduating from Waverly High School with the Senior Class of 1940. She attended the University of Nebraska for 1-1/2 years. She studied the field of nursing (Registered Nurse) at N.E.O. in Miami, Oklahoma and Tulsa University in 1976, graduating with a B.S. in Psychology at the age of 70. On March 1, 1942, Lea and Donald M. Little were united in marriage at Waverly and they made their first home in Borger, Texas. In 1946, they were transferred by Phillips Petroleum Company to Bartlesville. Lea was employed at Jane Phillips Episcopal Memorial Medical Center (now Jane Phillips Medical Center) for approximately two years; and St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma for one year. After retirement, she was a homemaker. She was a former member of East Cross United Methodist Church and later in life, became a member of First Wesleyan Church, Bartlesville; Daughters of the American Revolution; first president of the Music and Literature Club of Dewey; and also was president of the United Methodist Women's ECUMC. Lea is survived by her son, Terry H. Little and his wife, Cheryl, of Seminole, Oklahoma; daughters, Kathleen A. "Kathy" Towery , of Bartlesville, and Christine N. "Christy" Whisman and her husband, Marvin, of Newberry Park, California; grandchildren, Zach Whisman of California and Terrye Dawn Little of Tulsa; and three great-grandchildren, Maegen, Elise, Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, D. Mark Little; sister, Virginia (Ginny) Schaad; and son-in-law, Thomas A. Towery.
