Leda Lois Davenport, 97, of Centralia passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Craig General Hospital. She was born April 1, 1909 in Braman to Mert and Mable McVay. She married Orville Davenport on September 25, 1925. In 1939 they moved their family to Centralia. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, quilting, cooking, sewing, gardening and taking care of orphaned animals. Survivors include two sons Owen "Jack" Davenport and his wife Faye, Duane Davenport and his wife Sandra both of Centralia, three daughters Thelma Girty of Warner, Jane Livingston of Berryhill and Orvella Moody and her husband James of Bluejacket, Three sisters Velma Burroughs of Welch, Frances Finley of Blackwell, and Elba Cooney of Wellington, KS, twenty-four grandchildren, Seventy great grandchildren and Fifty-nine great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, two sisters Gwen Long and Alta Mae Stemm; two brothers Wimbern and Ethan McVay, one son, Danny Davenport and three granddaughters. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita with Pastors Orville Moody and Sam Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bluejacket Cemetery under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Funeral Homes Chapel. Casketbearers will be David Davenport, Tim Davenport, Rowdy Davenport, Owen Davenport, Jim Claggett and Eugene Livingston.
