Lee Roy Turner, 24, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006. Lee Roy was born July 11, 1982 at Jay, Oklahoma to Leroy and Eldean (Lyman) Turner. Lee Roy grew up in the Jay / Oak Hill area, and lived there most of his life. He also spent some years in Pryor. He enjoyed music, singing at Pow Wows. His favorite activities were anything where his family and friends would be present. He spent most of his time with his brother, Richard, and enjoyed whatever Richard was doing. Survivors are his father, LeRoy Turner, as well as his mother and step-father, Eldean Turner and Glenn Buffington. He and his companion, Mollie Morris, have one son, Dylan Turner. Mollie and Dylan both survive Lee Roy. Lee Roy is also survived by 2 sisters, Stephanie Turner of Pryor, OK and Lynelle Locust of Claremore, OK and two brothers, Richard Turner of Pryor and Kevin Turner of Kansas City, MO. His Grandmother, Agnes Budder of Pryor also survives. He leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his best friend, Lindsey Vernon. They will all miss him. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Piney Baptist Church of Jay, with John Gonzales officiating. Music will be presented by the Piney Singers, the Cherokee Singers, and soloist Tim Kingfisher. Pall Bearers will be Knokovtee Locust, Billy Pickup, LeRoy Turner, Richard Turner, Glenn Buffington and Tim Kingfisher. Interment will be in Piney Cemetery under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay. Visitation will be held Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
