Lela Geraldine (Samons) Hodges Davis, 90 year old Grove area resident, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Siloam Springs, AR, one day prior to her 91st birthday. Lela was born to Horace and Emily (Gould) Samons in Paragould, AR, on April 24, 1924. She was a factory worker, homemaker and raised 6 children. Lela enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She also enjoyed canning. Lela is preceded by her husband Jewell Robert Davis, one son, Gerald Hodges, and parents, Horace and Emily Samons,.four grandchildren, Corey, RJ, Samantha, and Donna Gail, and one great grandson, David. She is survived by five daughters, Barbara Clutts and husband Larry of Morton, IL, Emma Parsons and husband Kenneth of Syracuse, IN, Cathy Moore and husband Ronnie of Grove, OK, Jan Doye of Bartlesville, OK, and Anita Weicht and husband Randell of Sulpher Springs, AR, many grandchildren a host of great grandchildren, and a host of great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 25,2015 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, OK, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.
