Leroy Alfred Conner, Grove resident, died February 19, 2013 in Ft. Providence, Northwest Territory at the age of 66 years. He was born on November 2, 1946 in Miami, Oklahoma to his parents, Monroe George Conner and Minnie Christina (Witte) Conner. Leroy attended high school in Columbus, Kansas. He married the love of his life, Eunice (Melton) on December 5, 1968 in Grove, Oklahoma. They celebrated 44 years of marriage before his death. Leroy was a truck driver and worked for Dyno-Nobel trucking company. Leroy enjoyed fishing, hunting, gathering with family and friends; He was a very hardworking, dependable, giving, always helping friends, family and neighbors. He loved being a grandpa. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, George and Paul. Leroy leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Eunice, of the home; sons, Kevin Conner and wife Connie, of Joplin, Missouri, and Brian Conner of Grove; brother, Edward Conner and wife Sharon, of Chetopa, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, Phil, Trish, Sam, KD, Alex and Kimber; 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kayla, Elizabeth, and Joseph; and many other loving family members and a large group of friends. A Memorial service celebrating Leroy's life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday April 27, 2013 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, the family invites you to remain afterwards to visit and share stories of Leroy.
