Leslie Keene

Leslie Wayne Keene, 54 year old, lifetime area resident passed away, Friday March 16, 2012, in Afton, Oklahoma. Leslie was born on October, 19, 1957, in Grove, Oklahoma to Harold Kenneth, and Beulah (Roques) Keene. He graduated from Jay High School in 1975. Leslie worked for many years as a machinist and lead man for Walden Machine Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he produced airplane parts. He was and avid kayaker and enjoyed canoeing, and bow hunting, Leslie also enjoyed reading, especially science fiction novels. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Larry and Wesley. Leslie is survived by three sisters, Jowilla Erickson, of Austin Texas, Linda Lewis, and husband Lloyd, of Jay, Oklahoma, and Janice Dry and husband Charley, of Jay, Oklahoma, three brothers,Harold Keene of Afton, Oklahoma, Donald Keene and wife Carol of El Dorado Hills, California, and Jerry Keene and wife Donna, of Grove, Oklahoma. Leslie is also survived by eight nephews, seven nieces, eleven great nephews, and eight great nieces. A visitation for Leslie will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 21, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Leslie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Southwest City, Cemetery.
