Lewis Suttee, age 90, a lifetime resident of Vinita died Saturday June 13, 2009 at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born November 28, 1918 in Chelsea, OK to Lewis B. Suttee and Gertrude Little Suttee. He was raised and educated in Vinita and married Eva Lorine Long in 1938 at Miami. Lewis served in the U.S. Navy as a medic during WWII. He was a mechanic and owned and operated Suttee's Garage and was an active member of the First Church of God where he taught Sunday school for over sixty years. He enjoyed his Church and family, fishing and loved birds and animals and spending time with family and riding horses with his grandchildren. Lewis is survived by his daughters Patti Colvin of Vinita, Dee Ann Cox and husband Jack of Muskogee, Melissa Paulk and husband Steve of Norman Five grand children, Eight great grand children and nine great -great grand children. He was preceded in death by his wife Eva in May of 2007 his parents, one sister Lora Waco, a brother Charles Crismon, one grandson Rick Colvin great grand daughter Lori Colvin and son in law Kenny Colvin The Funeral will be held Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God in Vinita. Pastor Eddie Wrinkle will officiate. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
