ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Lewis Elwood Williams, age 89 and a resident of Dewey, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Dewey. Lewis Elwood Williams was born in Pittson, Pennsylvania on October 1, 1926. He was the son of Herman L. Williams and Vora Mae (Samples) Williams. As an infant, he moved with his family to South Charleston, West Virginia and then to Clendenin, West Virginia where he was raised and received his education, graduating from Clendenin High School. Lewis was drafted into the United States Army and also served his Country in the United States Air Force when it became a separate entity. Lewis and the former Reatha Darlene Watson were united in marriage on June 13, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He retired from the Air Force in February 1966 at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey and he and his family moved to Del City, Oklahoma. He was employed with Pacific Finance and in June 1966, he was transferred to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was employed with Central States Business Forms from 1972 to 1978 until he was retired. Lewis enjoyed time with his family and loved to hunt and fish. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Reatha, on June 2, 1983 and one brother and three sisters. He is survived by his children, Lewis Edward "Ed" Williams and his wife, Diane, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Richard Dean "Rick" Williams and his wife, Jennifer, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Carla Mae Hafner and her husband, Wayne, of Orlando, Oklahoma and Ronald Gene "Ron" Williams and his wife, Coleen, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; a half-brother, Bob Cremeans and his wife, Mary of Clendenin, West Virginia, a half sister, Greta of Clendenin, West Virginia, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services for Lewis will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside. Open visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, Bartlesville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the National Alzheimer's Foundation or to Wounded Warriors.
