Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261.Lillian Lea (Tanner) Moreland-Walker, 94, passed away on July 4, 2016 in Miami, Oklahoma. Lillian was born on May 31, 1922 in Jay, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Scott and Sallie (Owens) Tanner. Lillian was proud member of the Cherokee Nation. She attended high school in Wyandotte Oklahoma and later to Chilocco Indian Agricultural School in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Lillian was self employed and worked in the cattle industry. She was a member of the Piney Indian Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Lillian is now rejoicing in Heaven with her parents Scott and Sallie Tanner, her husband Ace L. Moreland, Sr., and husband Kelly Walker, and her son Ace Moreland, III; nine brothers and sisters; Jacob Tanner, Inola Jenkins, Richard Tanner, Henry Tanner, Betsy Martini, Clifford Tanner, Imogene Burr Drake, Joann Bryson and Carson Tanner. She will be missed by two sisters; Winnie (Windy) Johnson and Flodell Spotted Bear, her daughter-in law Sherri Moreland-Peay, three grandchildren LaNay Gould, Ace L. Moreland, IV, and Christopher Moreland. Lillian was blessed with four great-great grandchildren; Remington Gould, Liam Gould, Zander Moreland, Cade Moreland and Gavin Moreland. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016, with services being held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
