Linda Lou McKay, 66-year-old Bartlesville resident, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Mrs. McKay was born December 16, 1943 in Cushing, Oklahoma to John Barner and Jewell Breshers-Barner. Mrs. McKay graduated from College high School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University, majoring in Journalism. In May of 1977, she was married to Arthur McKay. Soon after, Mrs. McKay took a position in the Transportation Department with Phillips Petroleum where she worked until retirement. Mrs. McKay loved to read. She had also spent countless hours operating her HAM Radio. Mrs. McKay was also a breast cancer survivor who performed countless hours of volunteer work for breast cancer awareness charities in the Bartlesville community. Mrs. McKay is survived by one son, Sean Devlin of Tulsa; by one daughter, Nikki Kaltenbach of Owasso; and by one brother, John Barner and his wife Dana of Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Arthur.
