Lloyd York

Lloyd L. York, 74, of Derby, Kansas died May 7, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Lloyd was born in Jasper, Missouri on December 28, 1934. He met and married Beatrice Martin on August 26, 1956 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Lloyd worked as a draftsman and stress analyst, retiring from Boeing Wichita in 1999. Mr. York is survived by his wife Beatrice; by a daughter, Scotty Strickland; grandson, Travis Strickland; and son-in-law, James Strickland all of South Lyon, Michigan; by two brothers, Leonard York of Denver, Colorado and Lester York of Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Mr. York will be held at 2p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009 in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel with Eddy Pattison officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball Cemetery.
