Funeral services for Lois Ruth (Luttrell) Hemphill are 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 at Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Darrel Cox officiating. Lois Ruth (Luttrell) Hemphill passed away October 30, 2012 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. She was born on July 1, 1926 in Alluwe to Mark Foster and Mildred (Clasby) Luttrell Sr. In 1946, she graduated from Childers School. She was married to Junior Hemphill and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chelsea. Lois enjoyed crocheting. She enjoyed fishing and wouldn't shy away from a game of chance at the casino's. She loved talking to people and was a joy to be around. Lois was a cook at the Colonial Care Nursing Center in Chelsea for fifteen years then cooked at the Chelsea Senior Citizens Center for two years. She had a special love for her little dog "Pete". She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Lois is survived by her daughter Sharon Luttrell and companion Darrell White of Foyil; a brother, Mark F. Luttrell and wife Joyce of Claremore; two nephews, Mark S. Luttrell and wife Mary of Chelsea, Ricky Luttrell and wife Tammy of Stigler; great nephews Terry John Luttrell and wife Stacie of Nowata and Jimmy Tiller and wife Jennifer of Hot Springs; great niece Lisa Jones and husband Randy of Pryor; close friends, Cathy White and Curtis Barnes. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Mildred Luttrell; her husband, Junior Hemphill; one sister, Joan Heard; one brother, John Preston Luttrell.
