Loren David "Putt" Fansler, Grove resident, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday November 28, 2009 at the age of 71. Putt was born on March 23, 1938 in Welch, OK to his parents, Noble David and Velma Ruth (Kline) Fansler. He attended Welch schools and graduated from Welch High School. Putt attended and graduated from NEO in Miami. On March 15, 1958 in Miami, OK he married the love of his life, Freida Holt, whom he met while in high school. Until his death, Freida and Putt celebrated 51 years of marriage. Putt enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, loved to water ski, was an avid car enthusiast, and played baseball and basketball as a young man. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his loving family. Putt was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Fansler; brothers, Leroy and Leon Fansler; and a daughter, Terri Fansler. Putt leaves many loving memories with his family, wife Freida; daughters, Rhonda White, Desiree Stout, Crystal Loveland; Seven grandchildren, Christian Doresey, Sean White, Brittany, Kelsie, and Jayden Stout, Halee and Austin Loveland; Two great-grandchildren, Landen Michael and Jeremiah Mikel Doresey. Casket bearers will be Steve White, Sean White, Paul Loveland, Cotton Hogner, Bill Seigel, and Jeff Stout. Graveside funeral services celebrating Putt's life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami with Pastor David Rycroft officiating.
