Lori Lu Hogshooter of Jay, Oklahoma went home to be with her Lord at 5:15 a.m., on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Monroe Manor in Jay. Lori was born November 14, 1967 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Billy Joe Wolfe and Dayna Hogshooter. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. She had worked as a laborer for Peterson's Poultry Industries in Decatur, Arkansas before her health began to fail. She was of the Baptist faith and greatly enjoyed attending the many revivals and singings in the area. During her time at Monroe Manor, she took it upon herself to be the official hall decorator, decorating not only her hall, but the other halls as well. She was an avid Jay Bulldog fan and some of her greatest enjoyments in life were when the Bulldogs would have their football pep rallies at the nursing home so Lori could attend. Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "PeeWee" Hogshooter on November 6, 2002, one daughter, Makayla; one brother, Jamie "Red" Wolfe, and both of her parents. She is survived by seven children, Dakota Hogshooter of Jay, Desiree Hogshooter of Spavinaw, Becky Hogshooter of Miami, Carm Ward of Eucha, James Hogshooter of Jay, Waylon Hogshooter of Jay, and Victor Hogshooter of Spavinaw; one brother, Billy Joe Wolfe, Jr. of Arkansas; one half-brother, Perry Wolfe of Moore; six half-sisters, Terry Petty of Grove, Lora Fields of Grove, Nancy Wolfe of Lakemont, Lisa Mooney of Jay, Lorilee Wolfe of Jay, and Gloria Roberts of Zena; and many grandchildren.
