Louetta Ferdig

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita 918-256-5555 -- Louetta Ferdig, 82 year old Bluejacket resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at her home. She was born on May 22, 1932 in Grove to Harry Leonard Adams and Alice Marie (Pruett) Adams. On September 24, 1948 she married Kent Ferdig, in Bentonville, Arkansas, he preceded her in death in 1999. They lived in Noel, Missouri, before moving to Vinita for many years, before moving in the Timberhill area near Bluejacket. Louetta had worked many years at Vinita Flag and Apron. She enjoyed, taking pictures, reading, listening to old gospel and blue grass records, gardening, crocheting, taking care of her chickens, doing genealogy, making jelly and her families favorite her peanut brittle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Rocky Ferdig, Sr. and Jimmy Ferdig; two brothers, Bud and Hank Adams. The family includes her children, Donna Clark and husband Rick of Bluejacket, Eugene Ferdig of Noel, MO, Rita Livingston and husband Eugene of Bluejacket, daughter in-law, Debbi Ferdig of Bluejacket; sisters, Geraldine Chandler of Vinita, Lillie Morrison and husband Dewey of Afton; a brother Herbie Adams of Afton; twenty three grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren with one on the way, two great-great grandchildren with one on the way. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Noel, Missouri Cemetery with Pastor Carroll Hopkins officiating.
