Louis Smith

Louis E. Smith, 79, a resident of Lakemont Shores passed away at his home on Thursday, October 25, 2007. He was born September 25, 1928 in Claremore, OK to Ed and Babe (Crutchfield) Smith. Mr. Smith was a truck driver for Contract Freighters Incorporated for several years. He played the bass guitar and sang for many years also. He married Juanita Bishop on February 11, 1984 in Tulsa, OK. They have lived in this area for about twenty years where Mr. Smith enjoyed working in the yard and fishing with his wife. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Babe Smith, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Juanita Smith of the home, children, Johnny Smith, Doug Smith, Billy Amos all of Claremore, Sherry Caywood of Tulsa, Gail Dean of Sapulpa, Mark Bradley of Tulsa, Redgie Carrick of Miami, and Anita Bradley of Tulsa, 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren along with a sister Lola Hungate of Idabel. Services for Mr. Smith are 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Dogwood Chapel at Lakemont Shores. Interment will follow at the Zena Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay. Military rites will be given by the Fort Sill Army Base's Funeral Honors Team. Viewing will be from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Monday and 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay.
