Louise Bidwell

Disney, OK - Louise L. Bidwell, 82, died Friday morning, October 26, 2007 at Rosewood Terrace, Vinita, Oklahoma. Louise was born August 8, 1925 at Little Rock, Arkansas to William Barney Otey and Lavenia (Haltom) Otey. She grew up in Little Rock and on March 20, 1943, married Horace "Blaine" Howson. The Howsons moved to Wichita, Kansas and then to the Grand Lake O' the Cherokees in 1976. Louise was a ward clerk secretary for Mayes County Medical Center in Pryor, Oklahoma, retiring after 17 years of service. Mr. Howson preceded his wife in death on August 16, 1997. Louise later married Wayne S. Bidwell on January 9, 1998 at Wichita, Kansas. The couple made their home in Wichita until Louise became a resident of Rosewood Terrace in June of 2007. She attended Disney Assembly of God and was a member of the Glenn Park Christian Church in Wichita. Louise was a member of the Garden Club in both Disney and Wichita. She loved flowers and was a wonderful homemaker. Survivors are her husband, Wayne of the home; a daughter, Sharon Hixson and her husband, Clifford "Wayne" of Wheaton, Missouri; one son, Tim Howson of Tia Juana, Oklahoma; one brother, William Otey and his wife, Marty of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Mary and Edith Hays, both of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Irene Elizabeth Hixson of Exeter, Missouri, Amy Lynn Wilcox and her husband, Aaron of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jennifer Wagner and her husband, Michael of Dexter, Kansas and Katy Gray of Tia Juana, Oklahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Kierslyn Wagner of Dexter, Kansas and Laila Little of Tia Juana, Oklahoma. She was preceded by her parents and a daughter, Linda Janine Howson. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the chapel of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home, Langley, Oklahoma with Pastor Daryl Lee officiating. Committal service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday at Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. All arrangements are by Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Langley chapel, 1-8 p.m., Sunday and 9a-8pm, Monday.
