Louise Williams

Louise Katherine Thompson Williams, 86 of Grove, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2012. She was born September 24, 1926 in Afton, OK to the late Claude General and Emma Ada Thompson. On March 20, 1944, she married Charles Cicero Williams, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1977. She was a long-time Grove resident, having served as a rural mail carrier with the postal service for over 20 years. She had fond memories of her childhood in Old Bernice, where her grandmother Dora Sherwood led the nondenominational church. In Grove, she was a member of the Independent Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a brother Ernest Ray Thompson, half-sisters Cordelia Fitzgerald Hunter, Christella Sherwood, and Christena Sherwood, and son-in-law David Pattison. Louise was a loving and serving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished companion for her husband. She is survived by her four children, Ada Pattison of Joplin, MO, Charles Williams and wife Janey of Van Buren, AR, Johnny Williams and wife Melody of Tiff City, MO, and Jimmy Claude Williams of Grove, OK; nine grandchildren, Susan Stuckey, Todd Williams, Brent Williams, Aaron Williams, Kevin Williams, Kym Hopper, Lindsay Williams, Satch Williams, Chas Cy Williams; and 20 great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Cody, Bradley, Lacy, Rebekah, Darien, Emberlynn, Joshua, Kyle, Aleeze, Leah, Isaac, Dylan, Lydia, Justus, Elius, Quincy, Cruxley, Darkniz, and Kylin. She is also survived by nieces Jessie Conley and Erma Reed of Sapulpa, OK. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Independent Baptist Church, Grove, OK. Interment will be at McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora, OK. Services are entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.
