Lydia D. Golden, a ninety-two year old longtime Jay resident passed away on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Lydia was born on November 30, 1918 in Southwest City, Missouri to William Square and Ellie Mae (Trout) Long. She worked as a cook at some of the local restruants where she was known for her bread and pies. Her late husband raised chickens at there home her passions were quilting and gardening. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents her husband Buck Golden a daughter Margie Trotter and three brothers Bill Long, Tom Long and Jessie Long. Survivors include three grandchildren Patricia Presly, Stephanie Blood and Danita Dyke, ten great-grandchildren Jeane Williamson, Chad Stricker, Brandi Parker, Matthew Blood, Brandon Burson, Zackary Dunn, Megan Struble, Ashley Bowen, JR Patton and Dakota Barnett, ten Great-Great Grandchildren along with three sisters Ada Reynolds, Jessie Long and Bessie Grammer. Visitation will be on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services for Mrs. Golden will be on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay. Interment will be at a later date. Casket bearers will be Brandon Burson, Zackary Dunn, JR Patton, David Presly, Shawn Williamson and Josh Presly.
