Lyn Lemons

Lyn Nell Lemons, 79 year old Miami resident died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at her home. Lyn was born December 4, 1930 in Bluejacket to Leonard Thomas and Ann G. (Ryan) Williams. She graduated from Bluejacket High School, the Northeastern Oklahoma A & M, where she attended nursing school. Lyn married Carroll Lemons on October 21, 1950 in Arkansas, they would have celebrated their 60th Anniversary this year. Lyn was a registered nurse, she had worked at Miami Baptist Hospital and many years at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita, where she retired in 1995. Lyn was a member of the Mount Olive Lutheran Church of Miami. She was a member of the Ruth Guild, loved to embroider, raise flowers, and reading. The family includes: her husband Carroll of the home, two sons, Fred Lemons and wife Patti, Mike Lemons and wife Ann all of Little Rock, Arkansas; a daughter Joyce Trujillo and husband Nestor of Miami; sisters Dorothy Littrell of Vinita, Ann Woods of Stonewall, brothers, Tom Williams of Purdy, MO, Raymond Williams of Claremore, and Marty Williams of Carl Junction, MO; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, and a sister Geraldine Williams. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Miami. The funeral will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church with Reverend Conrad Oehlert officiating. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery near Cleora.
