M. Colleen Lucas, age 84 of Grove (formerly of Four Corners), died Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Colleen was born in Welch on February 28, 1927, the daughter of Robert and Mary Ann (Parkhurst) Langley. She graduated Bluejacket High School in 1945 and then went on to earn her cosmetology license. On December 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to Roy Lucas and together raised five children. Colleen worked as a beautician for over 50 years, retiring from Eastern State Hospital in Vinita. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and square dancing with her husband. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Bluejacket, a current member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Miami, and a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy Lucas in December of 2000, parents Robert and Mary Langley, , siblings: Loretta Ivey, Orville Langley, Andrew Langley, Clayton Langley, Hazel Hensley, Mae Clarkston, and Nadine Rogers, and one great grandson Cash Lucas. Survivors include her children: Gary Lucas and wife Rhonda of Colcord, OK, Phillip Lucas and wife Tamarah of Vinita, Tim Lucas and wife Rhonda of Miami, Vickie Dodd and husband Quinton of Grove, and Deborah Lacombe and husband Rob of New Braunfels, TX, one sister Fay Davenport and husband Jack of Centralia, 17 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. Honoring Colleen's wishes there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Vinita, with Pastor Sam Wilson officiating.
