Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband, LeRoy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Madeline Ryan Jordan died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was 95 years, 5 months, and ten days. She was born February 20, 1919 at Labette County, Kansas to Marguerite Long (Ryan) and Arch Ralston. Madeline grew up in Labette and Montgomery counties in Kansas. She was a graduate of Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. Madeline married LeRoy Jordan on October 9, 1937 in Alluwe, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Coffeyville and later moved to Alluwe with their infant son, Mike. Their daughter, Pat, joined the family 14 months after her brother. Madeline operated the Pumpkin Center Store for a time while her husband worked in the area oil fields. The family continued to make their home in the Alluwe area where Madeline was active in the Methodist Church, playing the piano. Construction of the Oologah Dam caused the family to move to Nowata. Church was an important part of Madeline's life and she became a member of Hillside Christian Church in Nowata and very seldom missed attending. She was a giving person, baking pies for church and her neighbors. At an advanced age, Madeline entered Senior Spelling Bees, winning several district titles and advancing to Oklahoma State finals where she won 2nd place. Madeline traveled to Branson on several occasions to see Daniel O'Donnell in concert where she got to have her picture taken with him. She loved to read, work crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and solve cryptograms and Soduku. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; her daughter-in-law, Diane Jordan; a great granddaughter, Ashli Jordan; her parents, Arch and Marguerite Ralston; two sisters, Laina Adams and Kathleen Tesh; two brothers, Bill and Charles Ralston. Madeline is survived by a son, Mike Jordan of Nowata; a daughter Pat Lippitt and her husband Mike of Bartlesville; a brother, Robert Ralston of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Bruce Jordan, Richard Lippitt, Susan Clark, Michelle Lippitt, Steven Lippitt; seven great-grandchildren, Patrick Lippitt, Michael Lippitt, Zachary Lippitt,
