Mae Nigh

Mae Leticia (Metcalf) Nigh, age 83 passed away in Hamilton, Ohio on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Mrs. Nigh was born at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on November 8, 1925 to Edward Crew and Della Margaret (Nutt) Metcalf. She received her education in Bartlesville and graduated from College High School in 1943. She was first employed in the office of the NuWay Laundry. She also worked for Ralph Taylor cleaners and May Brothers. In 1951 she was employed at Foster Petroleum Corporation where she worked until her retirement in 1987. She was united in marriage on April 6, 1955, to Robert D. B Nigh in Osage County, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Alliance Church in Bartlesville. Mrs. Nigh is survived by a favorite daughter, Carol Shaw of Hamilton, Ohio, a favorite son-in-law, Rev. Roger Shaw of Hamilton, Ohio, and a favorite granddaughter, Bethany Shaw of Hamilton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert D. B. Nigh, two young sisters, her parents, and one brother, Roy who died in 1974. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Neekamp-Luginbuel funeral home with Rev. Charlie Cunningham and Rev. Donald Hazelwood officiating. Burial will be at White Rose Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
