Margaret E. Kennedy, 88 of Vinita, OK, and Clearwater, FL died Monday, February 14, 2011. She was born June 24, 1922 in Keighley, England to the late John and Annie (James) Walker. She married James W. Kennedy on August 26, 1941. He died August 12, 1998. She was a long time resident of Port Huron, Michigan. Mrs. Kennedy worked for many years as the Payroll Manager for Dunn Paper Company. She enjoyed traveling particularly to England and Scotland. She was also active in the Salvation Army in Clearwater before moving to Oklahoma. She is survived by her sons, James W. (Sharon) Kennedy of Lufkin, TX, Father Alex Kennedy of Vinita, OK, John W. (Donna) Kennedy of Mobile, AL, her grandsons, James W. III, of San Antonio, TX, Deryck (Britta) of San Antonio, TX, Jeremy C. (Karen) of Ann Arbor, MI, Adam M. of Ann Arbor, MI, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Ken (Gladys) of Clacton, England, Deryck (Martha) of Longton, England and a brother in-law, William S. (Jessie) of Clydebank, Scotland. The service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita, OK. A memorial service and Interment will be held at the Curlew Gardens, Palm Harbor, FL on February 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Preferred memorials can be made to the St. Francis Hospice, 715 N Foreman, Vinita, OK 74301.
