Marie Price

Marie Josephine Price 94 of Nowata passed away at the Bartlesville Care Center on Sunday, September 06, 2009. Marie was born on December 23, 1914 in Vinita toWalter and Josephine (Jenkins) Keller. She married Alva R. Seaver and together they raised a son. Alva preceded Marie in death in 1961. She was an avid member and very active in the First Christian Church in Nowata. Marie loved to quilt; she made several beautiful hand quilted blankets over the years. She married W.T. Price in 1964; he preceded her in death in 1975. Marie enjoyed going to the senior citizen center where she and a group of ladies would quilt and exchange stories. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Marie is survived by her son Alva and his wife Linda Seaver of Bartlesville, 2 grandsons Mark and his wife Carmon Seaver of Derby, Kansas and Michael Seaver of Comstock Park, MI, and 3 great grandchildren Ryan Seaver, Kelsey Seaver and Chelsea Ingram. Visitation for Mrs. Price will be held at the Benjamin Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8th from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata with Steve Driskill officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Marie's name can be made to the First Christian Church, 211 S. Pine, Nowata, OK 74048.
