Marilyn Fiddler, 60, of Dewey, Oklahoma died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at home. She was born July 29, 1950 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma the daughter of Claude E. Fiddler and Norma "Angie" (Buck) Fiddler. Marilyn's childhood was spent in Ramona, OK attending the Ramona schools through the sixth grade. The family then moved to Dewey, OK where Marilyn graduated with the Dewey High School class of 1968. She continued her education at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, OK, before becoming employed with Phillips Petroleum in 1970 in Kansas City. Marilyn was able to transfer back home to the Bartlesville area in 1972 continuing her work with Phillips. Marilyn elected to retire from Phillips in 1992 where she had worked as a Rate and Route Analyst in the Supply and Transportation Department. Marilyn was a sports fanatic! She loved her OU Football and New York Yankees baseball and was very proud that her son had become a teacher and coach. Marilyn also loved to argue and would take on a debate anytime, anywhere. Her family thought it quite an accomplishment when they could prove her wrong. The only problem, she was hardly ever wrong. Most importantly, Marilyn was a very gracious and genuinely good person. Although she knew how to push your buttons, Marilyn was always there; arms outstretched, ready to receive you and love you with everything she had.
