Sue was born October 25, 1937 in Nampa, Idaho, to Velma and Robert Pirl Barrow.
Sue graduated from Caldwell High School and was working at Simplot Potatoes when she met James R. Jones. They married on October 20, 1957, had 5 children and moved their family to Oklahoma in 1971. Sue worked as a school cook at Grove Public Schools, where she retired in 2000. She enjoyed her retirement with her husband by volunteering at the Wyandotte Senior Center and visiting with family and friends.
Sue moved to Siloam Springs, AR, in 2014 and became an active volunteer and Wii Bowling team member at the Siloam Springs Senior Center. She loved to go dancing, play dominos, listen to live music, and spend time with family and friends.
Sue Jones is survived by her sisters, Lea Burger and husband Bob of Arizona, and Debbie Stephens and husband Kaven of Midland, TX; her 5 children, Cheryl DeVault and husband Don of Norman, OK, James Jones and wife Cynthia of Forest City, NC, Gene Jones of West Siloam Springs, OK, Carla Jones of Bartlesville, OK, and Carl Jones and wife Amy of Siloam Springs, AR; her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and friend Alvis Cleere.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Jones, her brother Eldon Barrow, sister Deanna Barrow and parents Velma and Robert Pirl Barrow.
Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 6-8pm at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 17 at 11am at Grand Lake Baptist Church in Grove, OK with graveside services at Hickory Grove Cemetery to follow.
