Marjorie Sitz

Memorial services for Marjorie L. Sitz will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011, at St Catherine's Catholic Church in Nowata. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. Marjorie L. Sitz was born October 12, 1930, in Buffalo, New York, to John H. and Gladys (James) Hifler. She passed from this life January 19, 2011 at the Osage Nursing Home, in Nowata. Mrs. Sitz attended Nowata Schools and on February 14, 1948 she married Otto August Sitz in Oklahoma City. They traveled with his job and in 2000 after their retirement they came back to Nowata. She was a very loving mother and was an exceptional literary talent. Marjorie was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church. She will be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Mrs. Sitz in death are her parents, John and Gladys Hifler, a brother Bill Hifler, and a sister Mary Hindman. Survivors include her husband Otto, of the home, children, Bradley Sitz, and his wife Ellen, of Davenport Iowa, Jeanne Trainor and her husband Bill, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Debi Ann Walker, and her husband Brock, of Okemos, Michigan, grandchildren, Technical Sergeant Jason Liosi and his wife Yeong, Lindsay Liosi, John Ryan Walker, Capt. Phillip Sitz, brother Bob Hifler, and sister Anne Barnes, both of San Antonio, Texas, many other relatives and a host of friends.
