Marlene Holland, 86, a resident of Jay passed away at Integris Grove General Hospital on Monday, March 16, 2009. She was born on August 21, 1922 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Isaac and Stella (Kevin) Bloyd. Mrs. Holland married Harry D. Holland; he preceded her in death January 31, 1996. Marlene was a housewife who loved to go to church work in her garden and with flowers and had started working with genealogy. Survivors include her daughter Joan Atkins of Diamond, Missouri and her son Darrell Holland of Jay, Oklahoma along with five grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Ozark Memorial Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
