Funeral services for life long Nowata resident Martha Ann Brown will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Martin Cemetery, Nowata County, Oklahoma, with Rev. Walker Bell officiating. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata. Martha Ann Brown was born November 20, 1941 in Nowata to Clyde Earnest and Minnie Mae (Marlin) Hagebusch. She graduated from Nowata High School in 1960. Martha married Zach "Tex" Brown and they had one son. Martha was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. She loved watching wrestling and sports on TV. When she could Martha loved to make crafts. She was a very hard working, caring person. She was a Nurse Aid for years and took care of many Nowata people. She will be missed by many. Preceding Martha in death are her parents Clyde and Minnie Hagebusch, her husband Tex Brown, and siblings Mildred Thornbrugh, Lora Mae Slaton, Charles Lyle Hagebusch, Billy Marlin Hagebusch, and Clyde Fredrick Hagebusch. Survivors include a son, John Brown, two sisters, Margaret Ellen Ashford, and Carroll Manley, a brother, Vernon Phillip Hagebusch, two grandchildren, Ethan Brown, and Breanna Brown, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
