Martha Jim “Marty” Icenberger, 86, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, November 15, 2024. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, in the chapel at Arnold Moore &Neekamp Funeral Home in Bartlesville with the Rev. Wade Daniel from First Baptist Church Bartlesville officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Mrs. Icenberger in the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m.
Marty was born on October 29, 1938, in Searcy, Arkansas, to James “Jim” and Evelyn (Beavers) Perkins. She graduated from Vinita High School in 1956. While in high school Marty played the clarinet for the marching and concert band. She was also a skilled pianist.
Marty continued her education at NSU in Tahlequah where she was a member of the Delta Phi Sorority and the drama club.
Marty married Robert “Bob” Icenberger on September 28, 1969, in Vinita, Oklahoma. Marty was employed by George Driskill Insurance Agency in Vinita before moving to Bartlesville in 1975. She became employed as a research tech for Phillips Petroleum Company until her retirement.
She enjoyed participating in multiple classic car shows with Bob, traveling, and many family get togethers. She exceled in her bowling leagues, and even pitched in slow pitch softball leagues.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bob Icenberger; Marcia Blaine (Joe) of Seymour,Missouri; Valerie Bookout of Oklahoma City; Jill Johnson (Van) of Tulsa; Jina Schmoll-Andrews (Steve) of Anna, Texas; and Kurt Icenberger (Diana) of Conroe, Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren Tim Blaine (Susan), Christie Blaine, Jenny Blaine, John Blaine (Caitlin), Brittie Beesley, Jess Beesley, Taylor Bookout (Amber), Bess Anderson (Alex), Stephanie Hedger (Ryan), T. J. Johnson (Sara), Brooke Cegielski (Robert), Erik Icenberger, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Marty was preceded in death by her infant brother, Mikel Perkins, and parents, Jim and Evelyn Perkins.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. To send an online condolence, visit www.honoringmemories.com.
