Martha Jane Newcomb, 82 year old Cleora resident, died late Monday May 2, 2011 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born September 4, 1928 in Ketchum to Harry D. and Leota Faye (Jackson) Allen. She graduated from Cleora High School in 1946. Martha married Bob Newcomb on April 5, 1947 in Columbus, Kansas. She worked a precinct for the Delaware County Election Board many years. Martha loved to cross stitch, working in the flower bed and garden and mostly enjoyed her time with her family. The family includes: her husband Bob of the home, four children, Gerald Newcomb and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Jack Newcomb and wife Judy of Skiatook, Mike Newcomb and wife Nancy of Cleora, Candy Fuser and husband James of Afton; sister, Norma Jean Hensley of Afton; brother, Rex Allen and wife Shairon of Foyil; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, sister, Helen Ewing, brother, Joe Tom Allen. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church in Afton, with Pastor Ron Isam officiating. Interment will follow at the Ballard Cemetery near Bernice.
