Martha Jane Webb, age 83 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015, in The Journey Home, Bartlesville. Martha "Jane" Touchstone was born May 20, 1932 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Robert Lee Touchstone and Mildred (Britton) Touchstone. After receiving her elementary and high school education, she entered the University of Southern Mississippi where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree. On August 20, 1955, Jane and James Edward Webb were united in marriage In 1963, they moved to Bartlesville. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 20, 1999. Jane had continued her residence in Bartlesville for 50+ years prior to her death. Jane was an active member of her community and church where she developed many lifelong friends. Her creative talent, her service to the community and her devotion to her faith exemplified a life well-lived. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She will be missed on earth, while she will be welcomed in Heaven. She is survived by her son, James E. Webb, Jr., his wife, Rhonda, and grandchildren, James E. Webb III and Scout Lee Webb; sister, Louise (Touchstone) Bell and her husband, Bob; and brother, Robert Touchstone and his wife, Randa. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jim. At her request, Jane was laid to rest next to her beloved husband at a private family service, with a large array of carefully selected and arranged flowers.
